First, I must admit, I got pissed off when I watched a Canadian Holstein (Shona Holmes ) from the Metropolis of Waterdown Ontario, bashing our Health Care system. Then I realized I was just watching a typical Republican Party disinformation commercial and just laughed it off. My sources tell me that the Republican Conservative group who did the commercial, offered to pay for Shona Holstein to have a liposuction before the shoot, but instead, she asked for a year’s supply of Tim Horton’s donuts and a year’s supply of Aunt Jemima’s pancakes. The Americans, of course, in an act of generosity and show of appreciation for stupid people; added a year’s supply of “all she can eat”, at any McDonald’s Restaurant in Canada and the U.S.A.
The question then becomes - Do the Republicans really thing that the American people are stupid enough to believe the outrageous claims they make in regards to the Canadian Health system? Or is it that the Republican brand, has been taken off the American shelves for its political E-coli and they have no goddamn clue how to get it back on, other than by lying and disinforming?
Personally unless I am wearing a decontamination suit, I try to stay away from American politics for the obvious reasons. But for those American citizens who want to know the truth about our system here is a simple explanation.
In a hypothetical situation whereas a Canadian couple and an American couple of exact same financial means and the exact same assets and liabilities, with two kids for each couple, both lose their jobs and both lose their health benefits… who’s going to fare better?
Here is how it works:
The American and Canadian wives both need to get psychiatric treatment for depression due to their loss of work. The husbands, each have a heart attack due to stress and have heart surgery. Two of the children have accidents and need hospitalization for three weeks. Remember this is hypothetical but yet realistically a possible situation.
1. On the one hand, the American couple have to come up with the cash themselves (and lots of it) in order to pay for their health care. They have no job therefore no benefits and no income. Now I know for a fact, that all medical treatments in the States are much much more expensive than the same treatments in Canada because they are privately provided.
Making a long story short, by the time the American couple pay for their treatments their medications and all other expenses, They Are BROKE! FLAT OUT BROKE! DONE! The only income they have is 26 weeks of Unemployment benefits.
2. On the other hand, the Canadian couple, with the same need for the exact same treatments and medications pay NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. ZIPPO NADA ZILCH! And to boot, they will each collect unemployment insurance benefits for 52 weeks.
You tell me who’s is going to fare better. The American couple or the Canadian couple.
My American friends do NOT become victims of Republican propaganda. They don’t give a shit about you. They are controlled and manipulated by their “Corporate Handlers” known as Corporate Lobbyist. And we all know where their interests are, don’t we.
Your Health Care system doesn’t need fixing…it needs a total overhaul.

Joe tell me, who gives a shit what the American think. Everybody in the world thinks they are arrogant bastards anyway. I lost my job 3 years ago. I am still surviving. Didn't lose my house or went bankrupt because of some medical bill. In the meanwhile I had a triple by-pass! Didn't cost me a penny. Can the girls from the south of us say the same?
